The future could very well see the human race evolve into two or more different subspecies, at the same time. For example, as better and more advanced nutrition and medicine become available and more physically fit humans breed with one another, we might see the appearance of a taller and more physically fit type of human giants evolve amongs the common folk.

Or a more likely scenario is a rapid evolution aided by machines and robotics, which will see the rate of evolution become exponential. One thing is definitely clear though, we are evolving.
