I have looked into the genealogies of various White Americans, including the family of my father (N European, a good bit Colonial). The majority of the ancestry is from the British Isles. But... there was also a large amount of French influence, let us not forget. Also, Dutch and German. I have colonial British, French, German, Dutch, Belgian, Danish, etc. ancestry from WAY back. The earliest roots I found in America were British, then Dutch and French, though. Get this, though. I even have POLISH colonial roots. I know, this is odd. But... look it up, there was a guy who came from Poland, and I am descended from him on my father's side. I traced it fully:

I can post a portion of my family tree to show you. It is TYPICAL of colonial Americans... it is just they have not taken the time to trace the smaller portions of their ancestry way back. Even Gerald Ford is descended from Anthony Sadowski.

Hm. I wonder if I am descended from him also many Americans of Colonial descent descend from the Italian Bassano family (there's also a rumor around that they might have been Jewish, I don't believe it though.).

They do exist out there; its just that the diaspora with such looks live mostly in relatively isolated populations.

Sometimes I run into people who I just cannot trace further...I have an ancestor who was born in late 1700s-early 1800s but I cannot find her parents. It's annoying whenever that happens.

Send me the info. I will see what I can do. give me info like: birth location and date, and the info on their children and who they were. I can usually trace with this info.

interesting considering that mitt romney is not anglo but a white latino, lol, i think many whites especially if its narrower like nw europeans look similar, dont think there is a real difference except imagined or exaggerated

false he is largely descended from colonial English ancestry. He isnt a latino.

My father's side is mostly British with some French admixture and my mother's side is mostly Irish with some colonial Scot ancestry and North Western German. Doesnt matter. I belong to the Adamic race of man. Thats all that matters.

I have lots of cousin matches in the British Isles, none of which come up part South Asian. I'm just saying. Maybe this shows up in some of the bigger cities, but saying most of the British people are admixed is insane! If that is the case, then why are my cousin matches just like American 23&me results but with more British even?

They can't pull out mixture that happened before tests came out. The only way they can determine someone is "TRU ORIGINAL ENGLISH" is to take ancient english people and compare to modern ones. But they can't do that by using components defined by modern populations, but come up with new autosomal components based on ancient populations. That is why I don't take autosomal comparisons seriously. They are basically worthless. The only thing they are good for is to find out if populations far away are somehow related. But it won't tell you HOW they are related, when, or if it is a true relation or an illusion.

You can't directly detect mixture that happened before reference populations were developed but by looking at haplotypes and hemoglobin D level (which doesn't exist in white americans), the truth is shown.
