IQ levels required for advanced society

The truth is that the only reason we can type stuff in this forum is because of a very small, pitifully small percentage of high IQ people. The same with every other modern breakthrough: Math, Electricity, Alphabet, Medicine etc.

The intelligence needed to come up with new technology and have the guts to withstand social pressure to 'not rock the boat' is much, much higher than the average intelligence.

I would wager that only people of 130+ IQ are truly able to contribute technological innovation.

I would think it takes at least 115+ IQ to maintain such technological innovation.

It takes at least 100+ IQ to not reject such technology as useless nonsense

It takes at least 90+ IQ to not reject technology as some sort of evil magic (even if you don't explicitly call it magic)

The truth is, most of humanity are beasts. Animals pure and simple, who have been misled to believe that their ability for speak separate them from animals. Modern research into animal life reveals that emotion, learning, memory, all these are found in most animal species and are NOT human exclusively. Self recognition is not even human exclusive, common to also chimps and dolphins at least. Emotion, what most people think IS humanity, is a very primitive animalistic attribute.

What sets humans apart from beasts is one thing and one thing only: High Intelligence.

The main problem is that it allows people with sub 90 IQ to be much more dangerous and much more prosperous.

In a low tech society you would have to train and have discipline to be much of a threat to anyone, and thereby you would likely also be more of an intelligent and restrained person.

Now an evil person who manages to get control of a country can do a huge amount of damage with low IQ people to assist them.

And an evil person's biggest rival is intelligent people who are NOT evil. Technology thereby allows a huge amount of oppression. That is really the cause of american diaspora. And now technology has not just the power but the ability to spy on everyone so they know where to use the power. That is why no one can keep control of their own country any more, any attempt to organize a 'bad' political group is immediately detected and broken up.

For there to be technological innovation we have to opt out the issue of religion.

What IQ does one has to have to stop obsessing about religion and not let it constrain his own way of thinking and lead him to irrational way of living and acting?

Philosophy is obsolete according to a significant amount of experts and the genius Stephen Hawking. In Stephen Hawkings book "The Grand Design", which is one of his most recent books, he said that philosophy is obsolete because it failed to keep current with science and now science subsumes its role. The only people who care about what modern philosophers say are mainly other philosophers. In the past I have read a lot of Schopenhauer and Wittgenstein with a smattering of Nietschze for good measure, though.
