Are Brits and Irish the darkest people in Central/Northern Europe?

I always thought it was odd that people on this forum think all WASP people are blond and blue eyed,,, this is just not true. There are plenty of WASP that are on the darker side like,,

Generally Europeans are closer to each other more so than most want to believe. Like I said before all Dog Breeds are closer to each other than any of them are to a wolf,, even though a Siberian Husky looks more like a wolf than a Pug. Looks can be deceiving,, especially in Europeans because many Europeans unlike other races, Europeans carry an extensive number of recessive traits.

Im saying what I saw with my eyes. From what I saw in Bavaria, short, pudgy brunettes were normal. I’m a short, fat, “irish” looking ginger and in Germany everyone assumed I was a local 🤷🏻♀️ And if they didn’t... they guessed I was English 🤷🏻♀️

I did say " a little" strong. I was allowing for clinal differences, whilst still admitting a common backbone.

Have you guys considered that fair hair is not a mainland trait, but a Northern Euro trait? Pre-Germanic Scandinavians were not even European in origin, so the white admixture in Europe shouldn't even be exactly attributed to any European nation, although today, it can be accurately associated with particular regions. Franks were originally quite swarthy; look at the French. But the Allemani (German) tribe of Franks went North and mixed with pre-Germanic Scandinavians and brought light genes back to the mainland.

Also, read the book When Scotland Was Jewish. It's not the most convincing book in terms of its thesis, but, there's some interesting information in there about the diversity of genes in the UK.

I also think Britain "lightened up" in terms of color after the Saxon and Viking invasions, not before it. And I've read that pure Britons were related to Basque people (but this may not be true).

No they didn't. Just something for you to research Hinxton and then the Bell Beaker transformation of Northwestern Europe. I can spoon feed if needed but do more up-to-date research for starters and also look for actual scientific studies.

I never said differently. Britain is more comparable to Germany and the Netherlands but Britain is not as light as Scandinavia. I think Britain has a wide range of phenotypes but lighter types are in the majority. I am just saying Britain has native phenotypes that range from no darker than Southern France to no lighter than Northern Germany but the lighter types are the majority. I even said I was a minority type. I don't understand what you are disagreeing with here ? I posted both light and dark Brtish types. Stop smoking crack son ! The fact of the matter is like the only difference between Germany/Austria and Britain is the Alpine vs the Mediterannean. Germany has more alpine and Britain has more mediterranean.

Now to establish what you meant by "dark", since we seem to have a misunderstanding between us. O.K. if we go only by hair colour, it is quite safe to say that Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic people for instance as a whole do have a higher percentage of blonde and light hair too than the British and Irish people who have a higher percentage of dark brown or dark hair than them. Nevertheless in terms of red/reddish hair, British Islanders have a higher percentages than the Scandinavians. In eye colour, not much of a difference is seen the English and Welsh have slightly higher frequencies of dark eyes than Scandinavians but this isn't the case with the Scottish and Irish. In skin colour, both the British Islanders and Scandinavians are as a whole fair-skinned but the British Islanders have higher percentages for very pale skin types (I/II) which don't tan or tan with difficulty and is very prone to freckling and sunburns. Due to the fact that British Islanders have higher frequencies of dark hair than Scandinavians, does not make them particularly dark. Scandinavians anyway have higher frequencies of light hair than any other European group.There is absolutely no proof that Britain is any more "Mediterranean" than Germany and Austria, only in bias opinions. I use the terms "Mediterranean" or "Alpine" so, because there is no credible scientific proof for such classifications. Old physical anthropologists use such terms to describe phenotypes. Genetically it is Germany which has a higher percentage of Mediterranean genetic components than Britain. Please once more do not refer to me as "crazy", all I do is think before I write.

Hungarians that are blonde with blue eyes are actually magyars who became assimilated by austrians so much they lost their magyar blood. Real hungarians have dark hair.
