Default Sources of pre-Christian folklore and knowledge

I'd appreciate any and all legitimate links to books, websites and tradition of Nordic European folklore and knowledge.

It's very difficult as we all know to know much about pre-christian times, since there was only mainly oral tradition and most tales from that time is written by christians.

As for Norse folklore we have Edda and Havamal of course and the collection of fairy tales by Asbjørnsen and Moe.

For Germanic folklore we have the Brother Grimms.

For Slavic folklore we have what? Where can one find an English copy of the Primary Chronicle?

    What else do we have?

To what extent is Greek/Roman mythology relevant? We know that Mercury is believed to be Thor for example.

Some notable fiction like Lord of The Rings is obviously relevant since Tolkien was a true scholar on the topic.

Christianity perverted many of the European pagan tribes and histories by now. They're there, and written, but will take some digging around and detective work to designate which passages relate to which people or myths.

Housing architecture, pictures of beauty, art, cultural diet and meals, these are the best indications for ancient culture.

Sorry, but the Brother Grimms collected their fairy tales from the area of Lusianian Sorbs living now in the Eastern Germany, but originate from the Western Slavs, from Lechitic tribes

And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
