I know, but if you make Dutch official no one will speak it apart from the government staff. Too many Americans with dollars and suitcases in that region you see.

Here Dutch is the official language but English documents can be provided and English can be used in government circles so I don't see why that shouldn't go for them either. It's time for those people to learn Dutch and I actually think that Dutch should go in and buy up property before the Americans do it.

The first motorway in the Netherlands (back then known as autostrade - the word is still being in Belgium) was opened on the 26th of May 1938. Today there are almost no traces of the old autostrade and the road has become a part of the A12 motorway which happens to be one of the busiest motorways in the country.

Got to like the Nova Scotian one too.


The coat of arms of the province of Nova Scotia is the oldest provincial achievement of arms in Canada, and the oldest British coat of arms outside Great Britain. It was granted in 1625 by King Charles I for the first Scottish colony on the Canadian mainland. The arms were also borne by the Baronets of Nova Scotia, a chivalric order.

The FCP (Porto football team) symbols is more complex than it looks at first.
Besides the Portuguese and Porto crests, the symbol also includes five particularities.

• The (green) dragon isn't meaningless, it's actually the symbol from the old Suevian Kingdom of Gallaecia. The coat of arms of the city of Coimbra also have the same symbols as Galicia.
• The small heart isn't just a heart, it's filigrana, a highly complex metalwork technique which is famous on the northwest of Portugal.
• The Invicta banned means "undefeated", a title the city of Porto won after the Civil War.
• The leaves and castels around the Portuguese/Porto crest is actually a medal (Ordem Militar da Torre e Espada, do Valor, Lealdade e Mérito) which was awarded to the city.
• Yes, that's a crown on the top, and Portugal is now a Republic...but it wasn't when FCP was founded, so they kept it.
