    Thanks for the welcome.
In the Thread I linked you can see cities in Brazil that are ethnically German, Italian, Polish, Dutch, Austrian, Greek, Lithuanian, Russian, Ukranian, etc..
Even some lost Finns may be found if you look at the right place hehe

As a Brazilian and great admirer of German culture I must say it's something really amazing. Great post with a lot of interesting information, it's always nice to see any culture so well-preserved in a very different country.

Interesting data about their MTDNA: "Among the Pomeranians, 98.7% European and 1.3% Amerindian haplogroups were found. As illustrated in Fig. 1C, the genetic structure of the Pomeranians is very different from the other Brazilian regions regarding its maternal heritage. These data point to a genetic footprint of the peculiar lifestyle maintained by the Pomerania descendants, which encompasses geographic and cultural isolation. It is worth mentioning that the most“Pomeranian” town of ES, Santa Maria de Jetibá (where most of the samples were collected), is in the Metropolitan macroregion, only 96 km away from the capital."
