Millions of tiny spiders rain down on Australian town

Millions of tiny spiders recently fell from the sky in Australia, alarming residents of a small town who suddenly found themselves covered in the creepy critters.

Such a scene might seem the stuff of nightmares, however, there is a perfectly natural explanation to strange phenomenon.

This month's eight-legged downpour in the country's Southern Tablelands region is just the most recent example of an event commonly known as 'spider rain'.

    Very interesting mR.

It is a very old phenomena, one known to even ancient Romans, and sometimes restrospectively misattributed to UFOs (more on WIKI)

Spiders are known to sometimes use their silk to kite themselves across great distances, here's a video about it -

I find spiders so disgusting, I'd have been horrified and probably died of a heart attack.

Australia has a big problem with spiders. I've seen vids from Australian youtubers who have spoken about how they see huge spiders in their homes.

Heres another interesting fact.Spider webs/silk are not only edible, they are predominantly protein. From that big ass web ball, you could make protein shakes enough for a week.

The web is placed in a glass and mashed up with water or milk. Then you drink it.

    Another grandfather passed technique.

They are actually very well digested. They are very tough against insects but not so much against our stomach acids, especially blood types O like mine who generally have even more hardcore stomach acids.

I have had spider web shakes multiple times but they are hard to gather in the required amount.
