Comparing us north western European nations is a bit like comparing biscuits and pastries. Sure, we're all made out of flour and water, sugar and salt and so on, but it's the proportions and what has been done to em all that counts...
No Osweo my ancestors hid in caves to escape the mile high glaciers, they evolved into a totally different species of homosapien, the fact that our DNA happened to evolve from the continent we call Africa is ultimately wrong for a discussion.
Have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in ‘illegal immigrants’, and add just a few more letters, it spells, ‘Go home you free-loading, benefit-grabbing, resource-sucking, baby-making, non-English-speaking ********* and take those other hairy-faced, sandal-wearing, bomb-making, camel-riding, goat-f*****g raghead c***s with you.?

    Óró, sé do bheatha abhaile,
B'fhearr liom tú ná céad bó bhainne,
    Óró, sé do bheatha abhaile
    Anois ar theacht an tsamhraidh.

A Shéarlais Óig, a mhic Rí Shéamais
'Sé mo mhór-chreach do thriall as Éirinn
Gan tuinnte bróig' ort, stoca nó leinidh
Ach do chascairt leis na Gallaibh

'Sé mo léan géar nach bhfeicim
Mur mbéinn beo 'na dhiaidh ach seachtain
    Séarlas Óg is míle gaiscidheach
    Ag fógairt fáin ar Ghallaibh

Tá Séarlas Óg ag traill thar sáile
Béidh siad leisean, Franncaigh is Spáinnigh
    Óglaigh armtha leis mar gharda
'S bainfidh siad rinnce as éiricigh!

What's the farcical '45 got to do with anything?

The thread title is the 12th of July. The Battle of the Boyne. Nowt to do with your Bonnie Prince Charlie whatsoever. Would you have posted the 'Bold Chevalier'? No, and if the above was in English too, its off-topic nature would be as apparent. Your post therefore is mere spam.

I posted it because I know of no Jacobite songs from 1690.

The song is an Irish Jacobite song. The Battle of the Boyne was an Irish Williamite-Irish Jacobite battle, of course. The song may have been composed in relation to events that took place 55 years later, but it is nonetheless a song from the Irish Jacobite cause.

But if you think my post actually constituted spamming and was in breach of the forum's rules report it the staff and they can judge the matter and I can be disciplined appropriately if necessary.
