Why are the African races incapable of building civilizations?

Assuming ancient egyptians were the same people as modern egyptians (all signs point to yes) they are pretty much north african.



So they are an example of an african civilization.

People are talking about Negro Africans, not Africans in general.

The most obvious answer is that they are simply inferior I guess, due to inborn low IQ, which leads other bad traits.
Truly if this is the only answer...Then natural selection is going badly in today's world!

PS: Negrids obviously I mentioned in this post. But I generally also mentioned all of Africa (read my OP).
I do not believe the people populating current north Africa built Carthage & Ancient Egypt.
Carthage we already know this not to be the case, Egypt is more of a mystery.

Let's be honest the current population of North Africa isn't much much higher on the racial scale than Negrids, if we consider the "civilization" North Africans built (From the end of Roman Africa....NOTHING pretty much).

Technology and advancement is driven by need. The first European travellers to far-away countries didn't do so because they wanted to explore, it was driven by a motivation of trade. The various trades Europeans engaged in were for financial gain. Just look at the spices trade by the Dutch East India company, as well as the Portuguese, to the Far East. Those guys didn't put their lives at risk by travelling for months at sea because they had nothing else to do. They were motivated by what they had to gain from such trade. The same goes for the Spanish and Portuguese who went to South America. The nations which engaged in the slave trade did so because they could make money, which could be used to spend on spices and other material goods.

Now, look at Africa.

The weather is warm and mild. There was no need for warm and multi-layered clothing like people in harsher climates needed.

There was no need to build insulated homes in a place where the temperatures don't go lower than 15 degrees Celcius. There is no need for complex housing. Africa is not limited for space, like Europe was (and still is). There was no need to build enormous cities to house all the citizens because there was enough space. There wasn't a need for travel and exploration because the people had everything they needed. Many communities are nomadic. They set up home for a short while before moving on again. Huts of natural materials could easily be set up in just a few days and left behind when the time came to move on again.

They didn't need to explore and travel because all they needed was already there. Fresh fruit and vegetables just had to be picked. They didn't need to travel halfway across the world to obtain fruit trees from faraway countries because they already HAD the fruit trees. They didn't need to travel for spices to make old meat palatable like the Europeans did. Obtaining meat was easy because Africa is rich in wildlife.

Africans didn't need to travel because Africa has natural resources which Europe didn't have. Europeans were driven to travel across the globe in search of items which are naturally and freely accessible in Africa.

The world is becoming rapidly smaller with travel and technology. Africa now finds itself lagging behind a few hundred years because there was never a need for extensive development in the past. It is now in the position where Europe found itself about 600 years ago. And just like Europe developed in the past 600 years, so will Africa. It just has the unique challenge of trying to make up 600 years of development in a few decades in order to keep up with the rest of the world.

The Nordics are village people and still are (according to themselves), 100 years ago they were nothing. They have boreal climate, btw.

When it's like 50ºC hot the last thing you would care about is starting to build some big cities.

It could be a point but most of Africa does not give these temperatures.
