The packet I got from Oxford Ancestors says I carry a Y-chromosome recognised as being of probable NORSE VIKING origin. Then it has boxes reading thusly (top/bottom) (19/14, 388/14, 390/22, 391/10, 392/11, 393/13, 389i/9, 389ii-i/16, 425/12, 426/11, 385a/13, 385b/15, 437/16, 438/10, 439/12), if those mean anything. ()
in the lower right corner it has: Y 19334 H
H indicates high probability.
The "Tribes of Britain" portion is affiliated with Brian Sykes who wrote Saxons, Vikings, and Celts and says the Y chromosome is from the clan of WODAN according to, I guess, his system for identifying the progenitors of genes or some such. I know some of you guys here (Os, *cough*) don't like him.
Doesn't say anything about R1a or R1b and that stuff.
