Are Slavs part mongoloid?

Quite a few Slavs I've met, Russians etc., have clear mongoloid features. Why is this? Or rather, since the answer's obvious (centuries of interbreeding), what should we regard them as?

Well you probably refer to East-Baltid and Lappoid type, yes they have either direct mongoloid influence or are "incipiently" mongoloid. East-Baltid is though still within Europid spectrum, while Lappoid is a contact type.
I think rather than interbreeding, adaptation to extreme cold is responsible for most of these traits (keep in mind that Mongoloid race is most adapted to cold climate and of all the Tungid subtype), as genetic evidence doesn't support your hypothesis of mass scale mixing with mongoloids.

It is well known though that mixing occurred on a large scale through invasions. The mixing was a result of mass rape. Other than that you are correct, there is no evidence to support the hypothesis of mass scale mixing with mongoloids.
