We don't know enough about historical paganism to properly revive it. But a religion should not be judged on how old or new it is, just on how much sense it seems to make. It seems reasonable to say that revering nature is a way of coming closer to God, if there is a God. By contrast, it seems unreasonable to believe in a lot of the stories and claims from the Abrahamic religious books.

Modern paganism, as in dancing naked in some park and drinking urine or something sick hippy stuff like that.
