    Default The Younger Generation

What are the attitudes of younger, European people towards immigrants from Muslim countries? When I say "younger" people, specifically I mean members of the "Millenial Generation", in other words those born from 1980-1990, the people now coming of age.

In America, the younger generation seem to embrace Hispanic immigration to the U.S. They tend to see the embracing of immigrants as morally right. But how does the European youth see it? Do any of you have experiences with them?

Primarily, the "younger generation" in my country have a strong liberal tendency, and immigration generally is seen as favourable, enriching, etc. Muslims as a religious group are sometimes seen with a sense of suspicion, but regardless of religion or background, those between the ages of c. 20 and 30 in England/Britain are prone to supporting multicultiralism and immigration, owing to (or leading to?) their generally liberal political views.

The implications of this is that immigration will not cease, but rather intensify, as the Millenials begin voting. Since political views tend not to change after about the age of 25, we're looking at several generations of high intensity immigration in both America and Europe.

It is probably split. A large section of those who have experienced the effects of these policies first hand are against it. As are those who actually see what is happening and have their sense dulled by propaganda. Problematically enough these are usually not the sharpest knives in the drawer and are therefore less able to form the core of the necessary leadership cadre. It is practically all foot-soldiers, if that term can even be used.

The ones that are capable of providing that leadership are being raised shielded from these effects. And therefor have no experience with the downside of these policies and look it trough heavily colored glasses, not knowing that they will be the first ones to be put against the wall. Much the same as happened with the left in Persia after the overthrow of the Shah, or what happened with the intelligent section of Russia and China after the communist revolts there.

Of course the system put in place by cultural Marxism is not perfect in their control. And intelligent voices of dissent can be heard, no matter how hard they try to silence them. So there still can be some hope.

I find that the more middle class those youths are, the more liberal they are likely to be. Not coincidentally, the more middle class they are the further away from affected areas they live.

Definitely not true in the South of the U.S.

European descent youth in the Southern U.S. are extremely anti-Mexican, especially in regards to immigration.

But how extensive is this opposition? The link mentions only "dozens" of protestors, at what is a major university event.

The sentiment is major but people are afraid to act on it, this is true.

Definitely more realistic than those of their hippie parents. Remember that Austrian "extreme-right wing" parties won a landslide victory in the parliamentary elections as soon as they lowered voting age to 16.

Actually both in Canada and in Ukraine the younger generation is against all sorts of "phobias" and pride themselves on being open-minded (in middle class circles). A common reaction to hearing that someone in their early 20s/late teens is racist/homophobic is "I would understand if it was someone our parents age or older, but not one of us!"
