There're difference between Southern Italians and Northern. When I was in Venice and Rimini people had blue eyes and light hair (not all, of course), and they were native residents. But when I've been to Rome, majority looked very dark like guys at photo. So Italians are very different. In my opinion, Northern Italians can easily pass in Germany.

That's because some south Italians have foreign ancestors and that's why some don't look like the mostly blue eyed and blond and Germanic looking typical majority Italians

The truth is Italians are ethnically northern European people living south of the alps. That would explain why they have mostly blue eyes and blond hair. They usually need foreign ancestors to have any dark features like dark hair or dark eyes

I can tell the difference by amount of hair-gel Italian people use for their hair. LOL

    P.S: I know, because I use hair-gel a lot as well

there should be a difference but more often then not i cant tell the difference tbh, at least in austria most italians wouldnt stick out, maybe only if they are in a large group. because there are many austrians who look like corvus (dinaro-med) and there are also lots of blonde italians

It depends on the Italian. Some Italians look Angloish,Germanic, etc but most of the time they're Northern Italian. I can usually tell the difference between Central,Southern Italians and Germans. Central Italians have more of Robert Deniro or Al Pacino kind of look, which is the most stereotypical Italian phenotype. The cast of Jersey Shore would be a good representation of what a lot of Southern Italians and Sicilians look like but it could just be their tans that make them look extra swarthy. The majority of the cast members aren't even full Italian,Sicilian though. I'm not saying all Northern,Central and Southern Italians look a certain way but you're more likely to see those kinds of phenotypes in those regions.

Wow everyone is really seriously answering his question with a straight face? Axel is one of the banned members who had posted threads asking why Italians are so blonde and blue eyed people.
