    Default Frisians and Anglo-Saxons

"As both the Anglo-Saxons of England and the early Frisians were formed from largely identical tribal confederacies, their respective languages were very similar. Old Frisian is the most closely related language to Old English[13] and the modern Frisian dialects are in turn the closest related languages to contemporary English."

So how close were the old Frisians and the old English (Anglo-Saxons)? I mean were they basically the same people? I thought Anglo-Saxons came from what is today Schleswig and Holstein. So I didn't know Anglo-Saxons and Frisians were so related.

Well, they did live very close to each other so it is hard to see how they could not be closely related.

So the Frisians really lived that close to them? I always thought the Frisians were more concentrated in modern day Netherlands.
