Seems official data. If true, it's catastrophic news especially with our demographic trends. Worst thing is that it's young and educated are leaving en masse. To admit, such toughts crossed my mind as well.

This trend is such defeat for Croatia, and needs to stop as fast as possible!

We are not sending anyone, they are all LEGAL immigrants, majority young with University degree.

Feiichy, you said yourself that Croatia is not not doing so good these days economically, so this makes perfect sense, if people have studied and are qualified for something knowing they will earn money, they're not going to wait around until the economy picks up but find a place where they can use their skills and earn money in a country that's stable economically. In the end everybodys selfish and someone cannot be bothered to stay in their country and try along with other people to fix the recession problems but instead emigrate to a country where they can earn money for what they've been studying for a while. You can't really blame them.

The same thing happened, is happening in Spain, the economy is very bad and people who have proper degrees and can earn a lot more money in another country with their qualifications are leaving. This is the capitalist mentality ( we have enough but we want more ) and deep down no matter what poltical ideology you believe in, this mentality is sub-consciously carved in our brains.

It's a pity yes, but what can be done ? Cast a spell and fix the economy ? I wish, I really do.

Well majority of them, problem is that lots of people finish university, while work in their area is allready been filled, they dont wont to work anything, so they find work in their area of expertise outside of country.
Germany has its fault as well, they send out invitation that they need doctors, engineers... etc, what do you expect?

Yes, Germany needs lot of highly educated professionals, like IT's and nurses. They imported lot of Polish doctors, I heard. Capitalism is ideology of greedy.

Yes I agree, except I have no experience working there but I imagine it'd be nice just like living there is. But the problem again is people want more money ! They're willing to give up the sea and the happy life in Croatia in order to make more money, yes we're at a point where money means more than happiness and a good life IMHO.

Even if Croats are compared to Turks/Arabs or Africans a real gift for Germany it's not good for Croatia. I hope their government can stop this.
