Easing the taxes, reforming legal system because laws are too numerous, of bad quality and are changed every few years. We need stability.

Foreigners who wanted to invest in Croatia but later did not,said major reason for it is slow, inefficent and coruppted bureaucracy.
Our currency is overvalued as well, and for example bread in UK was cheaper than in here! For given standard of living, comparing the wage with living expenses, Croatia is one of most expensive countries in Europe to live in.

Yes I agree, except I have no experience working there but I imagine it'd be nice just like living there is. But the problem again is people want more money ! They're willing to give up the sea and the happy life in Croatia in order to make more money, yes we're at a point where money means more than happiness and a good life IMHO.

Money is always the factor but in this case I think just secondary one. Major reason is national depression we sunk in, people lost hope. They don't see future for their children in Croatia and that is the worst thing. They said our morale was high in tough war times, and was never low as is now.

Don't get me wrong, there are quite a lot of sucesfull new companies and industries in Croatia and some people live very well because of their own work But current situation is bad.

Even if Croats are compared to Turks/Arabs or Africans a real gift for Germany it's not good for Croatia. I hope their government can stop this.

Thank you for kind words. We respect Germans and Germany a lot, it is well known. It's best that nation states stay primarly states of the people they belong to. Same for Germany, you need to change some policies.

Yes. Worst thing is that these are only poople who left for Germany, many left for New World, Austria, Switzerland, UK and Ireland too. We were always a country with huge emigration because of many reasons, but I know this is a problem for many other (European) countries too.

We have a few Hrvatis in Denmark too, but the numbers aren't that big ... conditions here aren't the best at all for internationals, so I understand why Hrvatis go for Germany.

Seems official data. If true, it's catastrophic news especially with our demographic trends. Worst thing is that it's young and educated are leaving en masse. To admit, such toughts crossed my mind as well.

This trend is such defeat for Croatia, and needs to stop as fast as possible!
