Actually, from biological/scientifical/whateverifical point of view, it is not paedophilia. It is called hebe_febe_something_philia. But in law paedophilia means anything sexual with a human being below the age of consent. So it depends on the context.

And country, as age of consent varies.

16 year old teenagers may be emotionally immature today by not long ago it was normal in an agricultural society for a 16 year old girl to get married. That has to do with the changes in society. The modern world extends childhood since families don't need children as farm hands to add to the family income. Children back then were treated like miniature adults, while today, in the West at least, teenagers are treated like over grown children. But this has nothing to do with the biological reality.

I doubt most fathers would be happy if their 16 year old daughter was banging a guy of any age but that is irrelevant to the biological reality.

This is quoted for truth. Teenagers are treated like children, young adults are treated like teenagers, and, paradoxically, some moms dress their young girls like hookers. It's absolutely crazy!

All of my grandmas and great-grandmas married in their mid to late teens. It was no big deal.

Bet you didn't know most modelling agencies look at girls starting around 13-14, they are passed off as 19 all the time.

I agree with some of that. However, some 17-year-olds look 14 while some 14-year-olds look 17. It's best for all guys to be sure of girls' chronological ages and the laws. If they're not of age, wait until they are, or meet a girl who is of age. It's common sense.
