At present The Apricity golfers are confined to me and Germanicus, so make yourselves known. There must be more!

Germanicus suggested that we share pictures of out golf clubs, so at start here are mine.

Irons= Taylormade TP RAC blade/small cavity
Wedges= Cleveland CG 12
Putter= Taylormade roza corza
3 Wood= bang-o-matic (It's a long driving head with a custom PGA tour shaft)
Driver= broken Callaway FT-3 with a graphalloy blue shaft (will be updated soon)

Mu first golf club was a putter and a driver (I forget what number(?)) that was stolen from a Gypsy dumpyard.

I smacked golf balls left right and centre for the next few weeks. I then had the pleasure to play on a real 18 hole course.

Fucking snobs.

Indeed my swing is a full arc as you say, although I do have several faults that can lead to catastrophe. On the take away of the club head I rotate my hands and shoulders too early. This then leads the club head on the inside of what should be the correct plane. The result is that when I get to the top of my back swing the club face can be closed. So when I hit the ball it can either hook/pull or because of the inside back swing can 'push' the ball out to the right.

Dependant upon age and availability of a football; but my games of choice are a violent game of football or hack-down Bulldog.

I see, fine for some I suppose. I used to play in a football team until I realised the only people that play it are pikey's. I then concentrated on higher cultured games dependent on skill.

My mate had a golf club when we were about eleven. We used to nick balls from the course, and go play on the school playing field. After every stroke, we threw the club at each other, taking it in turns, like. I got twatted with it once; didn't see the funny side at the time, but I suppose I can see why he pissed himself laughing. One day, we found an old padlock, and played with it and the club as though you would at rounders. Unfortunately, one of us whacked the handle with it in mid air, and it bent around it. My golfing career was over for a few years.

In sixth form, a mate had a full set of clubs, so we went for lessons instead of 'Games' at school. One time it was so hot, and my hands so sweaty, that I did the full arc swing... and lost the club. It must have flew a good 200 yards....

Suitably trained, we went to a course at the weekend. At the very first hole, there was a bit of a queue at the first tee. I whacked the ball one, it hit a tree, and ricocheted into the balls of the man behind us. We let them go in front of us. I did get a Hole In One on the same day, mind. Great game.

You meant to say: "Until I realised the people that play it are infinitely superior to me physically and mentally. I always preferred 'Tag-Bulldog' with its emphasis on touching people."
