Barack Obama put on his dancing shoes during a visit to Nairobi to dance to 'Kenya's Gangnam Style'.

The US President took to the dance floor to join in with the Lipala - a dance which has taken the country's dancehalls by storm.

He was filmed shaking his stuff at Nairobi's State House during his tour of Kenya.

The Lipala Dance is a traditional set of moves, updated for 2015 by popular Nairobi afro-pop band Sauti Sol - who played for the President during his visit.

Their single Sura Yako was promoted with a Lipala dance competition on Instagram - which sparked a Gangnam Style-esque online dance movement in Africa and across the globe.

Obama came to Kenya, hung out with his extended family such as Malik Abon’go Obama, and moments ago departed for his next African tour destination, Ethiopia, but not before he cracked some birther "jokes" and spoke in Swahili... and danced.
