I haven't read any replies, but just one thing @learpfrogger

I never said ti, tu or je are Albanian words into Slavic . So what crazy theories are you talking about? I actually meant these are common Indo-European words IE related or from pre-IE

    Basque: duzu (pre-ie language)
    Norwegian: du
    German: du
    English: you
    Albanian: ti
    Irish: tu
    Serbo-Kroatian: ti/vi
    Italian: tu/vi
    Polish: ty
    Romanian

    it goes on and on

meanwhile this dude seems to suggest every single common non-turkish word in Albanian and Serbo-croatian is slavic, this is just nonsense. Neither did I say ''volim te'' is Albanian. I actually thought it was Italian/latin influence but I realize it might be common Indo European words or pe-ie or whatever the fuk, the possibilities are endless. This dude said ''mace'' is slavic origin, I said it's Albanian. I realize now it might not be Albanian but neither is it slavic really. it's just common Indo-European words. a lot of words are just Indo-European language family related or pre-indo-european. this word is in Basque too as Katu.... They might of influenced eachothers change where a letter turned to another but the word mac(e) in Albanian is very similar to the German word Katze which is pretty much said as ''Kace'' meanwhile in north-slavic this is different.

    how is pronounced "mace"?

reminds vaguely a word we use in Sardinian as a funny nickname for kittens: "mussittu", plural "mussittos", often abbreviated in "mussi"

it's the diminutive of "mus" a word that we use to lure the cat, which comes from Latin "mus-muris" (mouse)

there is also a similar word in Italian used as nickname for cats

instead of "gatto" there is also "micio"
instead of "gattino" (kitten) there is "micetto" or "micino"

Basque is not an indo-european language, and the reason I said mace was slavic in origin is because I think I read it somewhere, I used to think it was Balkanic too. The proper slavic word for cat is kot.
