7 degrees and very sunny in London today. I had to open all my large windows wide as I'm feeling hot from vacuuming and need to cool down.

Recently it's been warmer and better weather in England than in other European nations, with temperatures reaching as high as 13 degrees, which is unusually warm for Winter.

Currently it's -10C and clear.

It has been a bit warmer than that the last days, with some snowfall, but a cold front moved down here from the north. It had it's centre in southern Lapland, where the temperatures went down to -30C at several locations.

For this time of the year, we have had more nights with temperatures like that in the country than usual. They normally come in January and February. But someone told me that the arctic winds are more active than usual this year, and it's when these winds reach us the temperatures drop like that. And then the winds sometimes come from the Atlantic ocean and then it gets warmer very fast.

Looking at the forecast for some locations right now, it appears that the temperatures at some places will go from minus 25-30C to 0C in less than 24 hours.

Im heading north on the 24th to visit my mom, it was -17 there yesterday and it keeps getting colder every day that pass.
in jan-feb its around -55 at an old automobile repair shop in the village, they live in a valley and the shop is in a cold spot of that valley
