but among all the darker haired and eyed ones, Romania also produces a minority of Aryan types that don't appear in the vast majority of Southern and Western places 40% Yamnaya genes and the vast Balto-Slavic influence is showing, especially in Moldavians (I mean Northeast Romania, not the republic of the same name).

it's that possibility of giving such types that matters, not the average. average does not matter. and average is a bad word and a bad place to be. so we should not look at averages but at what a population pool can produce at its maximum? and at this Romania can give some types that are absolutely missing from all Southern Europe natives and most of Western Europe ones this is why it's placed higher on that, on the probability, beyond all the average ones that I do not care of, to produce such perfect types although isolate (but in good numbers, since numbers count at this level and not percentage)

if only 1% of Romanians is such a Northern type (although the percentage is much higher), still Romania could populate a country like Iceland only with such types (although my guess is that the number is much higher) it does not happen for any other Southern Euro country

Romanians have some Middle Eastern admixture (a staple foreign admixture in SE Europe introduced during the Roman era) in addition to some minor south Asian via the Gypsy population and some east Asian due to the various Turkic-central Asian tribes which have passed through Romania.

In my opinion there is no southasian admixture in ethnic romanians. Romanians with south asian blood are gypsies. Maybe it will be different 200 years later

that is a far stretch. of course not. you cannot generalize like that on 20+ million people with very different ethnic background from region to region. it's 3 times bigger the population than in Serbia. I am too lazy to search for relevant photos but who visited Romania a bit could jump in and confirm it.

actually in Romania, among darkest haired and eyed are the people in Banat, at the border with Serbia. darkest in the national team are also the two Serb ethnics from Romania: Jasmin Latovlević and Srđan Lukin (Iasmin Latovlevici, Srgian Luchin).

Artabro, the Spanish guy, posted Luchin, who is of full Serbian descent, as Romanian in this thread... so the Serb players darken the Romanian national team

The interesting thing is that even though you will see far more adults with blond hair in Serbia than Romania, you will also see far more people with jet black hair as well (like Lukin). Banat and Muntenia region are indeed the darkest (reflecting settlement of Neolithic people in open lowlands)...
