The elite are dependent upon the fear of terror, real or imagined to expand their control over society, and to keep the war to control the market economies of countries around the world, including the middle east ongoing. The world's predictable reaction to the events of 9/11 is what our biggest threat to us is. We have created more terror post-9/11 than has ever existed before it, and the flood gates are wide open. This isn't a case of incompetency it's deliberate.
"Free, do you call yourself? Then I would hear your ruling thought, and not merely that you have escaped from a yoke. Are you one of those who had the right to escape from a yoke? Many a one has cast away his last worth when he has cast away his servitude. Free from what? What does that matter to Zarathustra! But your fiery eyes should tell me: free for what?" - Thus Spoke Zarathustra

This story is highly suspicious and bizarre. For one thing when I flew last Summer to France and back as well as last Winter to Romania and back, my identity was checked. Several times.
Once when you go through the first security zone and in to the duty-free area, an other time once you go in to the boarding area and an other time at the boarding docks. Granted in the latter two they don't examine you longly, but they do take a quick look at your passport and your face before scanning your boarding pass.
The airline used to go to France was Air Transat and the one I used to go to Romania was Air France.
But I will admit, the security is generally tighter when coming back in to the country. If you are wearing a wide-brimmed hat or a hat that presses down on your hair and may hide your eyebrows or something they will ask you to remove it at the customs to verify your identity. And they do this with every single person including burqa/niqab-wearers. I don't understand why they stopped doing it?
The other fishy thing is that it is now illegal in Québec to wear the face veil (actually I am not sure if this has gone in to effect but I know the bill passed) in such public and security-related institutions and buildings and services.
This kicked my stomach in a knot!
