Why is not Turkey still in the EU?

Neither historically, linguistically, nor culturally has Turkey ever been part of Europe.
Therefore, Turkey does not belong in the European Union.

You can't compare Malta with Turkey. Malta is basically an Italianized country and has always been in the forefront of European Western civilization, despite many Maltese have adopted the Sicilo-Arabic, which eventually morphed into the Maltese language. Well Turkey has always been shaped by Middle Eastern civilization and the strongest influenced on it is the Persianate cultures.

I don't know why is everybody so interesting with being part of EU. Even Croatia is part of it. You can see its quality from that.

Every member state of the EU has to agree to a new member. It will never happen. The Greeks for a start.

Except the Greek government formally supports Turkey's membership. In fact; most of the EU governments do. Germany shows a clear opposition, the French stance can be considered more moderate since Sarkozy was taken down.

The EU does not question Turkey's qualification to be regarded as a potential member and they affirmed that accepting Turkey as an official negotiating country in 2004 which continues to this day.

With the same argument, if Malta is eligible so is Libya.

Turkey is going to reach 100 million in a decade, while Germany will be getting smaller and smaller. Do you think she'll want to give equal voting rights to Turkey?

Also it is not in the best interest of Turkey or anyone country to join this EU. The EU has been transformed into a sinister Germanic Union.

Many countries will opt to leave the EU. I'd like to see Greece out of the EU and the Euro when we are better prepared for it.
