Besides all the reasons mentioned above, if I was Turkey I wouldn't want to join the EU.

Won't be solved soon enough. And even if it did, I hardly believe that Cyprus won't veto their entrance.
    3) Yes, that would be fair, according to the norms of Europarliament.
And do you seriously think that France and Italy will allow Turkey to suprass their voting power? And with the population growth of Turkey, in less than a decade they will even surpass Germany.
    4) In that problem Turkey is already working for Europe. It would keen on doing the same if it were in the EU as full member.
    No, not really.
    5) But the internal economical situation in Turkey would improve with the investments of european countries and the own EU over there. There are already a huge amount of Turkish immigrants and descendents in many european countries.
They have already a huge amount (which isn't really welcomed), now that they aren't a member. Imagine a free move within EU.
First thing first, 15 millions of Kurds will migrate to EU. And some millions of Turks, too.
EU is already fed up with immigrants,..
    6) As seen, every country in Europe has a different culture each other. I think a homogenous religion is not a condition to make part of the EU. There are a lot of muslim people in the EU who live here, work and pay taxes.
Different, yes, so vastly different, no.
IDK really, but I can not understand why the Turkey entry in the EU can be refused so easily and since long time ago.
Its so obvious , and I only just pointed some of the reasons.

I think it must be a lot of turk nationalists who wouldn't want to enter EU, but I am also sure that a lo of Turkus would be agree.

That tema could be solved through an internal referendum in Turkey.

Kurdistan, Zazastan, historic Armenia. The only plan of integration of Turkey is dividing Turkey and make give up 1/3 of East and South East lands and then integrating Turkey as a colony. This is what I saw among leaked documents published in Turkish media. Europe is a bright civilization and even Islamist Turks think this about but Turkey herself must be power Center and not a irrelevant proxy.

    Reasons why not:
Large Turkish population. It would drasticaly alter the balance of power and voting in EU legislative bodies
Culture is not seen as European
Although hidden, it also has to do with what is seen as Europe.
Religion - If Turkey was Christian, none of the above would matter

Reason why it would be good for EU to join:
    Fresh new market
The immigration wave from Middle east could be stopped more effectively by Turkey, than by poor Balkan countries.
    Hi everyone!

Also Turkey is NATO country and so this is already in the Euro-Atlantic sphere, it is already part of it at most extension just officially out. The rep. of Turkey created like sort of English colony even if many Turks dont want to see this reality, great Ottoman state reduced to TC. Turkey integrated with the west long time ago.

    Just this is the point.

If Turkey make part of the most significants international assosiations, why not the EU?

I guess there is not a great interest from the part of Turkish Governants in entering. Or?

because Turkey isn't in Europe, its culture is incompatible with our values and democracies.
