Default What English accent do you try to speak with?

Question to all non(native)English speakers. What accent have you based your English pronunciation on? Does not matter if it sounds horrible, trying is what matters

I basically mirror the preferences of those who I deal with. There is no Klaus, just an idea of a Klaus. Klaus is a chameleon with no true beliefs, loyalties, or characteristics.

Sometimes im trying to speak with English accent but im not sure if itsnt horrible . When im playing games people rarely said i have Indian accent, which is horrible to me, so i feel sad about it, sometimes they say russian accent, which is horrible to me, and again sometimes they just say you speak like Turk. American accent is good but was really hard to understand for me when i was learning the language. English accent is clear, soft, class, i love it. I will practice on it

That's the best way to do it I think. It can get really cringey when non-native english speakers try to force a certain accent, because 90% of the time we can tell English isn't your first language. I think people should just speak it how it comes naturally to them.

Member Lean has learnt to speak English with Received Pronunciation, and she sounds wonderful. No Briton would think that she was anything other than English from listening to her speak.

The Afro-Carribean news presenter, Trevor Macdonald, learnt to speak with an RP accent by listening to the BBC World Service.

British RP is clear and sonorous, and less forced than the flat-sounding Standard American accent, with its influence of standardised pronunciations that were drawn from Webster's dictionary. Why would anyone choose to speak like that?

I don't try to speak in any accent. I am not an immigrant, I do not have to immitate any accents - I speak how I was taught to. Or been supposed to be taught. So I speak in Ołówekian.
