The aim of the ban is to ensure no easy access to porn sites because it's filled with actual rape videos and child pornography.





Dating websites don't work in India as most Indians marry the old fashioned way ie arranged marriage,these websites are filled with call girls and not prospective brides.

That's a lame reason, I don't think that was the main reason why they banned porn. They're probably using it as an excuse. If porn is filled with all those bad videos then why hasn't the United States and all the other countries ban porn? I've been watching porn off and on since i've been a youngin. I've been on a bunch of different porn websites and i've never seen those videos. The worst thing i've seen were incest videos that weren't even incest.

The porn actresses in the videos were well known and they were sleeping with guys who they weren't related to and looked nothing alike. They were roleplay videos. Someone has to go out of their way and purposely search up those terms to find those bad videos. Someone should have the choice if they want to watch porn or not. Its their right. The choice shouldn't be made for them by their country. I'm glad I live in the United States,which is a free country. Obviously...,

You said most Indians marry the old fashioned way and not all of them so why should they ban something just because the majority isn't doing it? People should have the choice if they want to go on a dating website. The choice shouldn't be made for them. Like I said before. Most people aren't gay,should we ban gays and gay marriage? Most couples aren't interracial,should we ban those couples? Most people don't shave their eyebrows,should we ban eyebrow shaving? That like saying most Americans don't drink Dr.Pepper so lets ban it. Well what if an American likes drinking Dr.Pepper? He can't drink one. Most Americans don't drink it so his or her country banned it.

That's like a Mayor saying,hey most of the men and women in this town don't like using condoms,fuck it lets ban them all together. Well what if someone in that town wants to use a condom? He can't use one. Most people in his town don't like using condoms so they got banned. I don't see how just leaving those sites unbanned is going to harm anyone.

Supreme Court has not given any verdict on banning the websites, it is the ruling Hindu nationalist party "BJP" which was behind this ban. They are on their quest to make India another Taliban state. The RSS which is right wing nationalist party of which BJP is affiliated to, blames the "western values" for the increasing rapes in India. So, i am not surprised where India is heading towards with our present government.
