    The way you try to discredit Turkey is ridiculous. There's something wrong with your brain. And you said that Iran was more modern than Turkey showing a couple of pics of women wearing western clothes and such as if that was not the case in Turkey, and as if it was not Iran itself that tried to follow the footsteps of Turkey, which is clearly stated in the animated film Persepolis, though they eventually failed, just like these other Arab nations you mentioned. The fact is; Turkey remains as it always was. Your obsession with Turkey makes you come up with such terribly flawed arguments.

    No I said that Bagdad (that's Iraq) used to be a prosperous city under Arab rule, that changed with the arrival of Turks

    It was prosperous not because of Islam, but because the rulers of that specific period were more secular than religious and they tolerated the apostasy of the great minds who in turn contributed to science.
