Do you have anything passed down to you?
Here's mine, passed down from my grandpa. They are all in Finnish. The larger ones say "General History" about the world, the smaller blue one is a dictionary, and the red one is a travel guide. I'm very happy to have something that belonged to him. Nauti taivaseen, ukki. Kaipaan häntä

On topic,I have a gun and a knife from my grandfather, they are with special crafted handles with the family initials on them(My maternal side is a Partizan family) that he was supposed to pass down to his sons but he had all daughters(Including my mother) so I got them.

I will forward them to my son when the time comes.

I have this cute little mirror whit a silver (the color, not the real metal) frame with green details that my grandma gave me, she said she carried it in her purse when she was a teenager and went to parties/balls. Also a gold (this time the metal, lol) bracelet that my dad gave me after she died because he thought it was just "so me!" lol
She was just so awesome, and I keep those things with much love.

I have kept some things that were my fathers too, but only things like sweaters or scarves, because it reminds me of him. Also some shaeffer fountain pens, because he loved those pens.
I'm trying to improve my english, so if you see me making any mistakes and you feel like it, you can please correct me. Thanks!

I've become a sort of family archivist so I get a lot of cool stuff.

+ A handmade saber tooth shaped pocketknife that belonged to a Jewish great-grandfather
+ The golden pocket watch of a Danish great-grandfather
+ A toy seal that belonged to a Danish great grandmother, as well as her sketchbook from the 1910's and her collection of postcards
+ A tin box depicting Paul Kruger which was given to a Danish great-grandmother by her own great-grandmother in 1899 as a birthday present
+ Psalms books that belonged to a Danish great-great-great-grandfather (printed in 1864) and a great-great-grandfather (p.1880) with inscriptions
+ A Hebrew prayer book that belonged to a Jewish great-grandfather (printed in 1913)
+ Two heavy leather photo albums filled with cabinet cards belonging to a Danish great-grandmother and depicting family members up to her great-grandparents.
+ Some pretty frames and boxes carved by a Danish great-great-grandfather who was a carpenter. Other relatives also have a chair and two cuckoo clocks.
+ Pair of ugly porcelain hunting dogs that belonged to a Danish great-great-grandmother
+ Silverware with the initials of two Danish great-great-grandparents presented on their wedding anniversary in 1894. Some of it is still in use.
+ Hundreds of photos dating between 1860 and 1930. Old passports, letters, drawings, dedicated songs, books, diaries, death notices etc
+ Some military memorabilia from a Jewish grandfather's service and a bow and arrows he got in Africa
    + Scarf of a Jewish great-great-great-grandmother

I'm sure I forgot some stuff. It all fits into a small Ikea cabinet next to my bed. Other relatives have cool stuff too like a sword, medals from the first and second world war and from the second Slesvig war, porcelain, furniture and books that belonged to my ancestors. Female relatives have all the jewelry.
    Spoiler!
