Something I've always found interesting was the prevalence of Tibetans wearing cowboy hats. I think this is a trend that probably started in the last few decades, but it's become normal wear for many rural Tibetans, to the point that it could be considered their traditional wear now. I just thought that some of you may find this interesting.
They are probably the most prevalent cowboy hat wearers in the Old World. I've seen Tibetans in large cities in China who wear cowboy hats, leopard skins, leather jackets, they are kind of bad ass.
Makes sense because their land is rugged, and so is their lifestyle. They are legit cowboys, for sure.
