Default Should I learn Turkish or Persian?

I'm going to learn both at some point, so this is more of a "which should I prioritize/learn first?".

    Persian:
Pros- Indo-European, lots of literature, interesting culture, French loanwords, helps getting a job with the Mossad/CIA/whatever
Cons- New script, spoken in unstable/hard to access places, not commonly used

    Turkish:
Pros- Latin script, fascinating culture, helps with business, Turkey is a great place to visit, I know many Turks, Turkey is on good terms with my countries, very similar to many other Turkic languages
Cons- non-Indo-European, very different grammar structure, not as much literature

I will most likely start with Turkish, but I'm curious as to any suggestions that anyone may have.

Well it's totally depends on your purpose though. However if you learn Turkish, you can also learn Persian without too much effort. There are so many loanwords between these two language. But Turkish is very hard to learn to what I heard from people who study Turkish. You can learn Persian easier.

I'd like to learn Persian, so my opinion may be not objective.

Going by what you listed as pros and cons for you, I'd say go for Turkish.
Knowing people from Turkey will give you the opportunity to actually put the language to use. And it being a non-Indo-European language (what you see as a con) can be a pro, imo, as it gives you the opportunity of delving into a new language branch, and thus gain a broader understanding of language variations.

Don't you think, that if someone arrives in your country with a reason to stay, he/she should speak your language instead of suggesting you to learn his/hers?
