and yes, the raids were crazy back during the height of piracy in the caribbean, back then British, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Welsh, Irish, and Canarian pirates were all fighting for land & gold.

It was literally like the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean" just like that, that movie isnt spoofing anything

so you had pirates from the UK escape the life of pirating and settling down black women in DR or any caribbean island, that happened a lot
