Norway says "no", as long as Saudi Arabia keeps forbiding churches being built in their country.
http://www.vg.no/nyheter/innenriks/i...er/a/10041746/Jonas Gahr Støre will prevent Saudi Arabia to fund mosques in Norway, while it is not allowed to build churches there.
VG follows
Islam debate
Saudi officials and wealthy private individuals would build mosques for tens of millions in Norway.
It has the full right under Norwegian law on financial support to religious communities. But the million gifts there is a provison that the Norwegian authorities approve funding.
Foreign Ministry refuses not only to approve the mosque contributions. In a reply to Tawfiiq Islamic Center writes UD that it would be "paradoxical and unnatural if it was given approval to financing from sources in a country where it does not open for religious freedom."
- We could have said no, the principle does not give UD such approvals. But when we asked, we use the opportunity to add that an approval would be paradoxical given that it is a criminal offense in Saudi Arabia to establish Christian communities, says Jonas Gahr Støre told newspaper VG.
Equal treatment
State Secretary Espen Barth Eide visit Saudi Arabia today, and will take up financial support:
- I understand that many of my European colleagues have the same problem, and Norway will take the matter up in the Council of Europe, says Støre.
- Could it mean a restriction of the ability to give financial support to religious communities?
- There will be a debate parliament and government may have to take.
The answer from the Foreign Ministry is to Tawfiiq Islamic center, but Støre says that the religious community Alnor that will build mosque in Tromsø with support from a Saudi Arabian businessman, will have an identical response.
- We have freedom of religion
Last week, the newspaper Nordlys written a series of articles about Alnor with spreads as "Muslim leader in Tromsø linked to terror network" and "Islamic fundamentalists in Saudi Arabia sponsoring mosque in Tromsø."
- Is that the Saudi direction of Islam, Wahabism, which is too controversial in Norway?
- I have noticed that the Saudi direction has a profile view of Islam, but I will not be the judge of what schools or directions of Islam establishing themselves in Norway. We have freedom of religion. This is about the laws that exist in the country where the money comes from, says Støre told newspaper VG.
Board of Tawfiiq Islamic center would not mention the matter, or to give any comments, said attorney Shazad Nazir on behalf of the congregation.

Norway: No Saudi mosques, as long as there's no freedom of religion in Saudi-Arabia
The Saudi Arabian government and wealthy Saudi individuals want to build mosques in Norway for tens of millions. They are legally entitled to do so, according to Norwegian law for financially supporting religious communities, but the large sum means that the government will have to approve the financial support.
The foreign office is not only refusing to approve the funding. In a response to the Tawfiiq Islamic Center, the ministry wrote that it would be 'a paradox and unnatural to approve funding from sources in a country which is not open to religious freedom."
The Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre told VG: "We could have just said no, in principal the ministry doesn't approve such things. But when we were first asked, we used the opportunity to add that an approval would be paradoxical as long as it's a crime to establish a Christian community in Saudi Arabia."
State Secretary Espen Barth Eide is visiting Saudi-Arabia today and will take up the issue.
"I see that many of my European colleagues have the same problem, and Norway will take up the issue in the Council of Europe," says Støre.
Q: Might this mean a restriction on the option of funding a faith community?
A: That is a debate which the parliament and government will eventually take up.
The response from the ministry is to the Tawfiiq Islamic Center, but Støre says that the Alnor faith society, which also wants to build a mosque in Tromsø with funding from a Saudi Arabian businessman, will get a similar answer.

Don't just bash the Saudis, the refugees themselves probably want, no, -need- these places of worship, even after just escaping war. They'll go bonkers without them. These are the types of people naive Europeans consider "equal humans".
The Guanche skulls as a whole are unlike those of modern European Mediterraneans, and resemble northern European series most closely, especially those in which a brachycephalic element is present, as in Burgundian and Alemanni series.oldschool anthropologydivided them into clearly differentiated types, which include a Mediterranean, a Nordic, a "Guanche," and an Alpine. The "Guanche" accounts for 50 per cent of the whole on the four islands of Teneriffe, Gomera, Gran Canaria, and Hierro; the Nordic for 31 per cent, the Mediterranean for 13 per cent, and the Alpine

Instead of spending money to build mosques the money should be used for churches and missionary work to convert them to Christianity. Afterall Germany is a Christian country.
It is possible that many would be attracted to Christianity if it was properly explained to them.

No they don't, they're taking in refugees themselves and of course have a lot of legal immigration, even when they're outside the EU. No balls.
lol.... The money should be spent on boats/trains to send them back and on Richard Dawkins' reading material for the ride.
