To a point perhaps. Croats more so. But they are far from pure slavs and are probably more native or Turkish than Slavic.

Saying Bosniaks are not Slavs is like saying Bavarians are not Germanic just becasue they don't all look like Scandinavians. Actually Illryians being an Indo-European group were probably closer to modern day Swedes than to any Balkanic nation. Indo-Europans tended to have the habit of establishing Warrior Aristocracies where by they rulled over a majority of slaves/peasants/plebs with whom they eventually blended and imposed their language upon.

The point of this thread is to point out the differences between Bosniaks and actual slavs like Russians, Czechs or Belarussians. We don't look like those people, nor do we share anything with them. As a bonus those people want us dead, so any distance and difference is welcome

The fact that you don't get along with them doesn't mean you are not Slavs...that's the reason why I won't read the "Ask Bosniaks" thread because everything is biased and has an agenda behind. You can just look at most Bosniak members here at TA, each one claims to be a different thing, there is no coherence. One thing is sure though:

Niko ne kaže da trebaš da pjevaš ikakve pjesme ili da se slažeš sa "uklanjanju kebaba". Samo zbog politike ne možeš promjeniti činjenicu da so Bošnajci Južnoslavenski Muslimani. Poljaki i Rusi se baš ne vole međusobno al ipak su oba naroda Slavenska. Identicifiraj se samo sa Bošnjaštvom ako treba ali nemoj vadit neke mrtve narode iz prošlosti koji nemaju nikakve veze sa Bošnjacima osim geografije.
