No, like I said it downloads in pieces, but each piece will stay on your HDD, you can start and stop at any time and the 'pieces' of the files will stay on your computer.

Anything you download will stay, unless you explicitly delete it from your HDD. You have nothing to worry about, these files are not dependent on completion of the download cycle for data to be stored on your computer, so no, you have nothing to worry about Except the slow download time.

Okay. I have a problem with YouTube in this regard, that if I have loaded 90% of a video and the connection cuts out I have to start loading it from the beginning again.

Yeah, streaming is a bit different than downloading (and torrenting is one form of downloading - multiple different pieces from multiple different uploaders) but Youtube's problems will not affect you in this regard.

It really depends on the parameters of which Youtube streams. Sometimes if my internet cuts out, I can watch the remaining 5 minutes of my show on Netflix with no worries of it cutting out. For some reason, it's not possible on Youtube despite the video having been loaded. Probably something to do with how they stream. Meanwhile I've been able to load a video completely on my phone and play it on Youtube when not being in areas with internet.

But yeah you will be fine. Feel free to ask any questions as they arise, it's no problem.

What on earth are seeders??? I'm as technically advanced as a snail.

I think I hit on something. It says "downloading". Currently at 1%. My download speed is so slow that it will take at least 4-5 hours.

Also, if my internet connection cuts out (which it does at random) and I log back in, will it continue downloading where it left off or do I have start the whole process again?

right click on the torrent while its downloading, go to bandwith connection and click high, this should increase the download speed

After 8 hours of downloading (4 hours yesterday and 4 hours today) I eventually did.
