The US is much bigger and diverse than European countries and as a result has stronger regional differences based on race. In general Americans look a mix between British and Irish with German input, Whites atleast. There are Whites who can trace their ancestors all the way back to the 1600s and are from multicultural cities like NY and are still mostly English/Irish.
