The problem with this is the ethnic makeup of Australian sporting teams is significantly different from one sport to another. Anglo-Saxons, Celts, Aboriginal people, and Polynesians will be strongly represented in rugby. Soccer will show a larger number of southern European types and very few Aborigines. Cricket will favour Anglo-Saxons. Australian Football (AFL) is probably fairly representational, but even then it's much more popular in the southern states.
