So, recently we saw a rise in number of Kurdish communist atheist suicide attacks.
So what do you think is the root cause of use of suicide bombing, religion or middle eastern culture?

Nothing but a meere war-tactic...

Japanese Kamikazi pilots did it, in the 1940s... during the pacific war campaign.



It stroke fear in the hearts of the Enemies, not to mention how effective it is.

But the Idea is much older than that (Speaking Middle-esat/Islamic history wise), and goes back to the 11th century old islamic era.... The Hashashin (Assasins) of the levant, it's belived that their moderen day descendants are the alawites of Syria, They we're one of the pioneers of fostering such an ideology, of going on a mission and facing certain death, with the promise of ever-lasting paradise... To my knowledge bombs weren't used back then, because the technology wasn't there yet.

Suiciders have religious motives. Those leaders, who are demanding anyone to commit suicide, have political motives.
