Well, I don't worry about people that say that. If it makes them sleep at night to believe these crazy things, then good for them. But again, it doesn't make it true. The Canary Islands are an autonomous region of Spain and we descend from peninsulares (mainland Spaniards). When you are in the Canary Islands, if you say I'm flying to Spain tomorrow, they will think you are crazy and will say you are already in Spain. Of course, Canarians are proud of their islands, just like Andalusians or Galicians may be proud of their regions, I think all of Spain has this pride in region. But like I said, I don't worry about people who believe these crazy things, because they are only looking to start trouble and I'm not into that.

Thanks for the welcoming. Yes, I do remember you. More by name though, since I don't believe we spoke often. But regardless, I appreciate the welcome. Maybe we can have good conversations here now that I'm back.
