Default Most German regions in Argentina/Chile/Brazil

This took a while so I hope it's appreciated.

I used the Top 10 of most common German surnames and saw its density among different regions in the aforementioned countries.

The top 20 is composed in general terms by Southern Brazil and South-East Brazil (incl. Sao Paulo but not Rio); The Pampas region (inc. Buenos Aires) and part of the Argentinian Patagonia; Southern Chile and the Santiago–Valparaíso area.

I highly doubt any Germans living in south America are truly German (meaning ethnically German).

Many are fully German. Actually more German-Brazilians are fully german than German-Americans.

Actually most mestizos/pardos have spanish/portuguese surnames. Look at this, from a genetic study in Argentina. People with French or German surnames were significantly european

Even 75% of the people with italian surnames was less than 17/18% amerindian.

There are a lot of fully-Germans in the Pampa Region (Province of Buenos Aires & La Pampa), in fact there are many ethnic-germans' towns.

    Some comments regarding the results

-The difference between Santa Catarina and RGS and the rest is pretty important and its understandable since Southern Brazil started recieving germans very early 1800-1870 and the birth rates in that period were huge.

-Argentinas most German regions are Entre Rios and La Pampa, which makes total sense since those are the province with more German immigrants in the old 1895-1914 census. Those provinces also recieved many Russians who were in fact Volga Germans

-Southern Chile is not very populated and the impact of Germans must have been important there. Thats why Los Rios and Los Lagos are in the top 7. Thats why i always say that It is very important to have into account the size of the native population when calculating impact of the foreigners.
