    Default Y-DNA and mtDNA tests

Can they be done in any laboratory that offers DNA tests? If so, how to interpret the informations? Do they come "munched" as they do in Ancestry/23andme?

Take a look at this thread i made regarding Mtdna in new worlders.

    http://www.theapricity.com/forum/sho...th-166-results

IMO mtdna is worthless i wouldn only recommend an autosomal test.

Don't know if I got it (still new to genetics), but I already know I'm at least 90% euro. Just wanted to know my haplogroups and to find out the roots of my paternal family, even though I share most of the genetic traits with my maternal's.

The point of the thread is to show mithocondrial dna is just a minuscule part of yourself.

You could be 99% european and have african ydna and amerindian mtdna. I would pay attention to autosomal dna only.
