I'm not difficult with food, but maslenica is the only food that I dislike.

    Cheers to Bosnia

What is wrong about maslenica? It looks quite deliciuos.

Is butter the main ingredient of the dough ('masło' means butter in Polish)?

Maslac is butter in Bosnian, masno means greasy. I wrote maslenica but it is maslanica.

But otherwise it's too "heavy", it's just some kind of dough.
    Cheers to Bosnia

Maslenitsa - in Russia it is a holiday with pagan roots in which people say goodbye to the passing winter and bake a large number of pancakes. The villagers also often jump over the fire and burn a scarecrow.
Is there a similar holiday in Poland?

Ok, I was interested if Polish word 'maslo' (butter) has similar meaning in Bosnian. For native Polish person 'maslac' and 'maslanica' are words connected with butter.

I agree that such a dough based on butter can be 'heavy'

No, we do not have such a holiday in Poland. You are unique with your beautiful "Maslenitsa pancake festival". I only heard about it. Hope it is still alive in Russia

    Thank you.
I think this is one of the most sustainable folk holidays and it will live as long as the Russian people exist.
