    Poland

From as far back as the mid-16th century there were Scots trading and settling in Poland. A "Scotch Pedlar's Pack in Poland" became a proverbial expression. It usually consisted of cloths, woollen goods and linen kerchiefs (head coverings). Itinerants also sold tin utensils and ironware such as scissors and knives. Along with the protection offered by King Stephen in the Royal Grant of 1576 a district in Kraków was assigned to Scots immigrants.

Records from 1592 reveal Scots settlers, giving their employment as trader or merchant, being granted citizenship of Kraków. Payment for being granted citizenship ranged from 12 Polish florins to a musket and gunpowder, or an undertaking to marry within a year and a day of acquiring a holding.

By the 17th century, there were an estimated 30,000 to 40,000 Scots living in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.[54] Many came from Dundee and Aberdeen and could be found in Polish towns on the banks of the Vistula as far south as Kraków. Settlers from Aberdeenshire were mainly Episcopalians or Catholics, but there were also large numbers of Calvinists. As well as Scottish traders, there were also many Scottish soldiers in Poland. In 1656 a number of Scottish Highlanders who were disenchanted with Oliver Cromwell's rule went to Poland in the service of the King of Sweden.

The Scots integrated well and many acquired great wealth. They contributed to many charitable institutions in the host country, but did not forget their homeland; for example, in 1701 when collections were made for the restoration fund of the Marischal College, Aberdeen, the Scottish settlers in Poland gave generously.

Many Royal grants and privileges were granted to Scottish merchants until the 18th century, at which time the settlers began to merge more and more into the native population. "Bonnie Prince Charlie" was half Polish, being the son of James Stuart, the "Old Pretender", and Clementina Sobieska, granddaughter of Jan Sobieski, King of Poland.[66][67][68] In 1691, the City of Warsaw elected the Scottish immigrant Aleksander Czamer (Alexander Chalmers) as its mayor.[69]

Even if this would be this smallest number which you gave, then during last
200-500 years they had have some children, so they are much bigger group.

After the wars in XVII century numer of Poles was about 3-4 mln people. Since
then the number of Poles globally growed 15-20 times, in Poland - 10-13 times.

So, number of Scots who live in Poland today could be somewhere between
almost a half of million and even 2 mln people in patryline, if they had been
multiplying propotionally to the rest of the population. So, at least, here is a
half of a million of people (taking your smaller figur unto account and multiply
    it by +/- thirteen times).

Here is about 30,000 families. http://niezwykle.com/nieznana-histor...czypospolitej/
Counting in average at least 3-5 people on family, it is 90,000-150,000 people.

It was at the time 2,5-4,3% of all Poles.

If we will take this into present day number of Poles (60
mln) then we have 1,5-2,6 mln of people - polish Scots.

What is more interesting, it is that at that time in Scotland lives 900,000 people.
That means, that to Poland came then even 1/6 i.e. 16% of all Scots... At present
day population it gives the propotional result of exactly 10 times more people who
leaved the Scotland and came here, than number of Poles in Scotland today...

Globally (28-40 mln Scots) it would be an equivalent of 4,5-6,5 millions of Scots...

What is important also, than even in XIX century they still were coming...

Polish immigrants in our apartment building caused quite a few police actions. They would be very loud, drink excessively, get into fights among each other. Stairways would be bloody on a regular basis. All of a sudden the burgarly rate increased also ... even Turkish, Indian and Kurdish families knew how to behave when they arrived. I personally have not made the best experiences with Poles.

Here is the same about Ukrainians and others... You have 80,000 Poles - we have 1,000,000 Ukrainians...

And still you can't find anyone for work, so more people are need here...

btw. maybe this 80,000 are simply a Shots returning to the Fatherland
