I was born "Macedonian", but don't identify as ethnic Macedonian and have not for the last 10 years in any meaningful sense. I am Bulgarian from Macedonia, and that's who I am. That's who Pulevski was, a Bulgarian from Macedonia. That's who Misirkov was, a Bulgarian from Macedonia. That is who every Slav who identifies with the history of IMRO and medieval Bulgaria (but rebrands them as Macedonian today) is, Bulgarian from Macedonia. You can play soldier in Alexander's army at Gaugamela or the Indus river for all I care, doesn't mean it's real! Although, something probably fitting for a mental patient.
