Your present ethnic identity is created on a basis of being closely related to Ancient Macedonians; (which most likely people perceive as something noble) and Slavic tribes. Even though it is not exactly the truth, this theory is quite appealing. Don't you think? Than, some neighbouring nation braggs about you, being so closely related to them, while at the same time you were told that members of this nation are related to Tatars and Chuvash people. I believe this creates unusual dissonance in your imagination. I believe that's why it is easier for you to remain under Serbian influence, despite their transparently similar bugari-tatari propaganda.
