thanks . there are differences but it also depends on the person and his/her region . for example when you take a turk from Aydin and compare him with a kurd from Sirnak you should see striking differences but when you take a turk from Erzurum vs a kurd from my region...then not so much etc. . I am way closer to a turk from sivas (central anatolia) than to a kurd outside of turkey for example . I dont talk to my father since years and dont have contact to most of my relatives so I never really asked them about our exact roots . I am pretty Turkish shifted for a kurd though . my grandmas side of the family say they are not kurdish (they are alevi zaza as far as I know) and the grandma of my mom was also alevi zaza . thats all I know. I am suspecting that they both could have been (at least partially) turkish . alevi zaza people are often said to be turks who adopted the zaza language (member Instinct claims this too) but not sure how true this is . it would make me 60% Kurd and 30-40% Turk ...which is funny because thats exactly how I come out in most calculators for example look at nr.15 which says 60.9% "Kurd_N" which means Kurd-North (so Kurds from my region and surrounding) + 39.1% Turkish . my guess is rather that we just absorbed some Turks from the bordering regions into the family over many years . the exact origins doesnt matter that much imo ..I am a Turk against anti-turks and a kurd against anti-kurds . above all I am a human

So in this particular calculator its "South_Indian" component isn't mixed with any kind of West-Eurasian?

So I guess the South_Indian on the other calculators combine the ASI + CHG/West-Eurasian, whereas this calculator separates them it appears..I don't normally score this much West-Eurasian.
