Do Black people in America deserve Reperations for slavery?

Should White Americans be forced to pay Reperations to Black people for slavery in your opinion? I think the government should, but I don't think that White american citizens should be forced to pay.

If the government is paying, that money is coming from citizens in the first place..unless they are just printing money which as far as I know is a bad thing.

The point is just about every group is shit on in history. How about Spanish should get reparations for the Moorish invasions and slavery?

Perhaps Black people today still suffer because of past slavery - but the argument can be made for a few other groups, too..

at any rate Blacks here are mostly responsible for their own conditions. It isn't our fault they hadn't even had the wheel when we first colonized them..you could give them all the reparations in the world, it wouldn't do anything.

Yes they do. The difference between the oppression of other people and the oppression blacks is that they barely recieved any and recieve shitty ones nowadays. When segregation ended they weren't given enough uplift to leave the ghetto and that is where their current issues stem from.

I'm not necessarily opposed to the idea of reparations, in theory. But the fact is, blacks have already received huge advantages over the last 50 years. Furthermore, what have they done with them? Turned themselves into the reproach of the earth, that's what. Throwing more money at the problem won't fix anything. This doesn't even address the problem of trying to track down who would actually owe these reparations. It's not as if Bill O'Reilly, Al Pacino, and Barbra Streisand do.
