I would have formulated it differently and would put the merit over the franks, who have permitted the preservation of the Catholic church, its reorganization, and its expansion, which would have been flooded by heretics, pagans and mohammedists otherwise.

But some would only considered them as tools, but decisive, for the Church.

I would say that Western Civilisation was built by right-handed people. The Catholic Church might have been the defender of Western Civilisation in the past but now they are one of the greatest threats. Far more insidious than the leftists because they hide behind good intentions.

Catholic Charities is responsible for dumping third world migrants all throughout the US. The Catholic Church fully supports the mass invasion of mongrels from Latin America into the US.

Any group or organisation that supports any level of third world migration into the West is an enemy of civilisation. How come the Pope and Catholic Church never catch hell for hoarding all of their wealth? Especially when the Catholic Church is far more sinister and destructive to Western Civilisation? If anything, they also harmed scientific progress. Look at Galileo and his trial.
